The Petersfield
Jazz Festival
Funkestra
The Full Circle Quartet * Pete Roth Trio * Sam Walker Trio * Sarah Jane Eveleigh * Freddie Saxo
* The Remedy
We are proud and excited to announce the first Petersfield Jazz festival, which we hope will become an annual event.
To kick it off, we have an amazing line-up of top Internationally acclaimed jazz musicians, all playing under the protection of a marquee within the stunning grounds of Churcher's College, Petersfield.
There will be posh food and drink stalls, music throughout the day and a chill-out tent.
Our headline band, Funkestra will be playing their homage to Joni Mitchell, an act that has wide acclaim, even from Joni herself and recently sold out two consecutive nights at Ronnie Scott's. Seeing them is worth the ticket price along, but then add to the mix Terry Pack's Full Circle Quartet, who Claire Martin from BBC Radio 3 commented, " Full Circle (is) set to take the European scene by storm...a rare treat not to be missed".
More information and tickets are available in the website: www.petersfieldjazzfest.com

N.B. Before buying tickets, the club has a quiet policy during performances in respect of the musicians and other audience members.

Barry has been a musician for more than 50 years playing many varying styles. His most successful time was in the early 80's when signed to A&M records and a subsidiary of Warner Brothers called Rialto Records. The band The Planets had some success with 2 L.P. releases and several singles, one reaching number 30 in the pop charts. He was involved in many UK tours, extensive recording sessions and appeared briefly on French television.
Prior to studying her degree in Music at Chichester University, Stephanie performed as a singer in an originals rock/pop band in Plymouth, a 12 piece originals jazz funk band in Portsmouth and as a professional singer in a three piece covers band based in Nottinghamshire, which toured extensively throughout both the UK and Germany.
Helen has made a recent return to her music as a pianist vocalist after studying Music and teaching at Chichester University and embarking on a busy teaching career.
She has followed in the footsteps of her Mother and Grandparents in learning piano from a very young age yet despite the classical background, Helen developed a flair early on for harmony and creating her own piano vocal arrangements of popular songs, with influences such as Tori Amos, Elton John and Kate Bush.
