JAZZ INSTITUTION

Strange Fruit is an exclusive jazz club run by muscians, located in Petersfield at Gallery No.30.  Held every month, it brings you the best jazz around from experienced, established artists and up and coming stars from outside the Petersfield area.

    Gallery No.30, provides an intimate setting with a bar and it's the perfect environment for a relaxed evening of high quality jazz.

Please note - we can't give refunds or swop events if you are unable to make the gig, we have musicians to pay who need to earn a living.  Refunds can only be given if the gig is cancelled  (i.e. COVID-19), if it is postponed your tickets will still be valid for the re-scheduled event.

Freddy Saxo
with Pete Roth

Freddy Saxo is a Swiss born Hampshire based Jazz  Blues Funk Latin Saxophonist. He graduated From The School of Musical Technologies ETM  Geneva Switzerland and has lived in London for 20+years but now lives locally in Gosport, Hampshire.
He's performed at all the great UK venues including,

Ronnie Scott's, Jazz Cafe Camden, Southbank Centre, Hackney Empire, Union Chapel, Pizza Express Dean St, LoveSupreme.

Festival, London Jazz Festival, & Womad Festival.

He's joined by Pete Roth on guitar and probably Livvy will be persuaded to sing as well.

Repertoire will include classics like Petite Fleur, All Of Me, Take Five, Just The Way You Are, Caravan, The Shadow Of Your Smile and many more.

Our gig last March was a sell-out, the audience were amazing and everyone had a great night. We're delighted to be doing more of the same, however we'll be playing new songs, giving a your favourite balads a jazz twist with plenty of Amy Winehouse songs and the blues.
Suggest you get your tickets well in advance because last time they sold out weeks before the gig.

Jazz vocalist & songwriter Sarah Jane Eveleigh was born and raised in Manchester before moving to the south of England to study a diploma in performing arts.

Drawing from a wealth of professional and personal experience, Sarah Jane is a passionate and gifted storyteller, and has been described as, "a great architect of song", who, "brings a level of style, accuracy and class to her performances".

Working alongside a host of talented musicians she continues to build a strong reputation as one of the most sought after vocalists on the circuit.

Prepare yourself for the Christmas madness with a chilled-out, relaxing evening with The Remedy playing jazz, soul and blues from the likes of Nina Simone, Billy Hioliday and Amy Winehouse.
Wear your Christmas best and we will make sure we get you in the festive spirit with mulled wine and mince pies and perhaps even a couple of Christmassy songs.
