Friday 24th January
Sarah Jane Eveleigh

What a way to start the New year!

Sarah Jane and her band always ensure a sell-out crowd and provide the best vocal jazz you could ask for.

She's a firm favourite at Strange Fruit and simply not to be missed.

Friday 14th February
Freddy Saxo

We are delighted to welcome back Freddy Saxo and his band, one of our favourite sax players.

Not sure who he will be joined by just yet, but you can be assured it will be an excellent band and a great evening.

Friday 21st March
Marianne Windham

Marianne is a jazz double bass player, based in Guildford. She took up playing professionally at the start of 2011, leaving behind a career as director of a software consultancy in order to pursue a passion for playing the bass.

In the Spring of 2011 Marianne set up The Cavern jazz club near Guildford. Her goal was to create a club that was both intimate and welcoming and which would attract some of the top jazz musicians in Britain.

At the end of 2012 the club expanded to include a monthly Jazz Cafe evening at the Electric Theatre, and “Guildford Jazz” was born!

Marianne has played once before at Strange Fruit and so this is a very overdue and welcome return.
