Strange Fruit is an exclusive jazz club run by musicians, located in Petersfield at Gallery No.30.  Held every month, it brings you the best jazz around from experienced, established artists and up and coming stars.

    Gallery No.30, provides an intimate setting with a bar and it's the perfect environment for a relaxed evening of high quality jazz.

Please note - we can't give refunds or swop events if you are unable to make the gig, we have musicians to pay who need to earn a living.  Refunds can only be given if the gig is cancelled  (i.e. COVID-19), if it is postponed your tickets will still be valid for the re-scheduled event.

Sarah Lambie Trio

Sarah began singing jazz at 12 when she first discovered Ella Fitzgerald, and she went on to join the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) with whom she sang between the ages of 15-21.

She also studied with Keith Tippett, Julie Tippetts and Lewis Riley at Dartington International Summer school over a number of years.

At Cambridge University, Sarah fronted the CUJO big band, and sang with various small ensembles around Cambridge and London.

Following university, Sarah trained as an actress at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Alongside her career in theatre, film, radio and audio, Sarah gigs across London and the Home Counties, singing a wide repertoire of jazz standards with guitarist Pete Roth, with pianist Jonathan Fashole Luke, and with the Grand Central Quartet.

Freddy, Pete and Stefan blew us all away with a great gig in June, so much so we've asked them to come back in November.


Freddy Saxo is a Swiss born Hampshire based Jazz  Blues Funk Latin Saxophonist. He graduated From The School of Musical Technologies ETM  Geneva Switzerland and has lived in London for 20+years but now lives locally in Gosport, Hampshire.
He's performed at all the great UK venues including,

Ronnie Scott's, Jazz Cafe Camden, Southbank Centre, Hackney Empire, Union Chapel, Pizza Express Dean St, LoveSupreme.

Festival, London Jazz Festival, & Womad Festival.

He's joined by Pete Roth on guitar and Stefan Redtenbacher on bass, Livvy will probably be persuaded to sing as well.

Repertoire will include classics like Petite Fleur, All Of Me, Take Five, Just The Way You Are, Caravan, The Shadow Of Your Smile and many more.

Prepare yourself for the Christmas madness with a chilled-out, relaxing evening with The Remedy playing jazz, soul and blues from the likes of Nina Simone, Billy Holiday and Amy Winehouse.
Wear your Christmas best and we will make sure we get you in the festive spirit with mulled wine and mince pies and perhaps even a couple of Christmassy songs.
