Strange Fruit is an exclusive jazz club run by musicians, located in Petersfield now at the wonderful Annie Jones. Held every month, it brings you the best jazz around from experienced, established artists and up and coming stars.
Annie Jones provides an unique setting with a bar and excellent food, it's the perfect environment for a relaxed evening of high quality jazz.

Please note - we can't give refunds or swop events if you are unable to make the gig, we have musicians to pay who need to earn a living. Refunds can only be given if the gig is cancelled (i.e. COVID-19), if it is postponed your tickets will still be valid for the re-scheduled event.
The Autumn Series
We are delighted to announce that we will be running monthly gigs every second Tuesday of the month, starting on Tuesday 8th September from 7:00pm.
These gigs will feature the very best artists in Jazz & Blues, so book your tickets early!

Stefan Redtenbacher Trio
We are delighted to welcome back a favourite to kick-off our Autumn and Winter season of monthly jazz and blues gigs at Annie Jones.
Stefan Redtenbacher is a world famous bassist who has played with everyone, everywhere. He is the founder and leader of both the popular jazz funk band Funkestra and the incredible Masterlink Sessions.
Stefan will be joined by saxophonist Rob Fowler who started his career as a jazz musician whilst the was studying graphic design at Art school in Bristol. He has since performed and recorded with artists like Rufus Wainwright, Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry, the Humphrey Lyttelton Band, a long stint with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The Echoes of Ellington, the BBC Big Band and his own Gerry Mulligan Concert Jazz Band, as well as plenty of film sessions.
Guitarist Carter Arrington's lifetime of professional live performance and academic training has made him one of the most sought-after guitarists in Austin, a valued private teacher, and a fixture across genres and many musical scenes.Carter has worked with a variety of artists and has shared performance/recording credits with The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Progger, Peter Rowan, Eric Johnson, Alejandro Escovedo, Bernard Purdie, Fred Wesley, David Grissom, Crystal Bowersox, Col. Bruce Hampton, Kirk Covington, MOTOWN The Musical, Andre Hayward, Carmen Bradford, and many others both in the US and abroad.
N.B. Before buying tickets, the club has a quiet policy during performances in respect of the musicians and other audience members.
